Mood Pack Update | New Preset Added & More!

The dark and moody aesthetic is a popular style for wedding and portrait photographers. The warm, boho vibe of this style is why the Mood Pack has been one of our most popular styles with our real wedding clients.

Since we released this pack in early 2021, we’ve been testing the pack on more images, gathering community feedback, and making improvements to the entire engine. We’ve also been testing the presets on Lightroom Mobile and developing a dedicated set that encompasses the differences between the raw processing and mobile processing.

Today, we’re launching an important update to the Visual Flow Mood Pack with the following changes:

• A Dedicated Set of Presets for Lightroom Mobile
• Huge Improvements to the colors for the existing presets
• The Addition of a New Red Tint Preset Replaces the Flash Preset

Dedicated Lightroom Mobile Presets

In this update, we are including a dedicated set of Mobile Lightroom Presets for the Mood Pack. While the presets were already available for Lightroom Mobile in the previous version, they were optimized for RAW processing on the desktop application.

The new Lightroom Mobile Presets are designed specifically for mobile photography, created with images photographed and processed entirely on a smartphone. The result is a more refined, accurate, one-click look for mobile photography.

These are included at no cost to previous and future Mobile Pack purchasers. For those interested in the Mobile Only Mood Pack, you can purchase them separately here.

Improvements and Changes to the Pack

As mentioned, we’ve made improvements to the overall color engine of the Mood Pack. In fact, we started from scratch and reworked the entire color engine from the ground up, so virtually every setting is changed from the prior pack. The result is a better, more refined pack of presets that gets you closer to a final image with a single click.

Red Tint Preset Included

In this update, all current and future Mood Pack purchasers will receive the new Red Tint Preset as a free update. Red Tint is a new lighting condition that will give you a one-click, refined image for scenes with a strong red tint on your subject(s). This preset is designed for the following scenarios:

• Pink/Red Sunsets
• Red Rocks or Red Bricks
• Fire or Candle Lit Portraits
• Dance Floor with Red or Pink Lights
• Any Other Scenario with Red or Pink Light on the Subjects

“Flash” Preset Removed

Also, after extensive testing, we decided to remove the “Flash” lighting condition. We will be making this same change as we update other packs. The reason for this change is that flash can be implemented as a soft light, hard light, and even backlight.

Rather than simply applying the “Flash” preset, the best results have always come from using the lighting condition that corresponds to how you implemented the lighting. Removing the Flash lighting condition keeps the system more simple and intuitive. If for some reason users wish to keep the Flash Preset, save a copy before installing the new update.

How to get the updated presets

All of the updates are available at no additional cost to previous purchasers of the mood pack. To update, follow these steps:

• Log into your DVLOP account
• Download the installer
• Reinstall your presets
